Thank you to the National Organization of Minority Architects Students of Tulane University for hosting some of our students for a day focused on design and architecture.
Students spent the morning learning about site analysis and drawing to scale, and creating an original design for a pavilion on Tulane’s campus. In the afternoon they had the chance to build a physical model of their design. They also toured the architecture building and heard several guest speakers talk about the architecture profession and how design is apparent in our everyday lives.
NOMAS-TU will likely hold a similar event next year, and we hope even more students will join! If you are interested, check out Project Pipeline, a workshop held during the summer for high school students interested in architecture and design.
